The study compares the da Vinci® Xi and hinotori™ SRS robotic surgical systems for gynecologic procedures, analyzing data from 401 cases at Kagoshima University Hospital. The da Vinci® Xi was used in 332 cases, while the hinotori™ SRS was used in 69 cases. Both systems demonstrated similar safety profiles, with minimal blood loss and low complication rates. The hinotori™ SRS had a slightly longer cockpit/console time (173 min vs. 156 min for da Vinci® Xi, p = 0.047), potentially due to a learning curve and procedural differences. There were no significant differences in operative time, blood loss, hospital stay, or overall complication rates. The study concludes that the hinotori™ SRS is a viable alternative to the da Vinci® Xi for gynecologic robotic surgery, but further prospective studies are needed for validation.
