This article outlines a standardized, 10-step robotic approach for the surgical staging of early ovarian cancer, developed at an Italian tertiary care university hospital. The procedure includes diagnostic laparoscopy, pelvic retroperitoneal access, identification of key anatomical structures, adnexal mass mobilization, total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and lymph node dissection. The authors emphasize that this robotic approach, when performed by expert surgeons, is safe and feasible for selected patients with apparently early-stage ovarian cancer. The protocol aims to reduce morbidity while maintaining oncological safety and effectiveness, promoting minimally invasive surgery as a viable option for early ovarian cancer staging.
