This study reports the first-year experience with the HUGO™ robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) system for gynecological procedures at two tertiary centers: San Paolo University Hospital in Milan, Italy, and Onze-Lieve-Vrouwziekenhuis Hospital in Aalst, Belgium. A total of 32 procedures were performed, including hysterectomies, adnexal surgeries, and pelvic floor reconstructions. The median docking time was 8 minutes, and console times varied based on the procedure type. No major intraoperative complications were recorded, but two cases required conversion to laparoscopy due to technical issues, which were resolved without further complications. The study found the HUGO™ RAS system to be feasible and effective for gynecologic surgeries, though further research is needed to standardize its application in this field. The results are encouraging for wider adoption, although challenges such as system malfunctions and the learning curve remain.
