This study is an eight-year retrospective analysis conducted at a tertiary center in Singapore, focusing on the safety and effectiveness of robotic surgery in morbidly obese women with endometrial cancer. The study included 33 patients with a mean BMI of 45.7 kg/m², who underwent robotic total hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and pelvic lymph node dissection (THBSO-PLND). The results showed that robotic surgery was successfully completed in all cases without conversion to laparotomy. The average operative time was 232 minutes, with an average blood loss of 184 ml. Postoperative outcomes were generally positive, with a low rate of complications and no 30-day mortality. The study concludes that robotic surgery is a safe and effective alternative for morbidly obese women with endometrial cancer, providing favorable surgical outcomes while minimizing the risks associated with traditional surgery.
