This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the research trends and publication patterns in robotic surgery within gynecologic oncology from 2005 to 2023. The study included 566 original articles and found that a majority (87.6%) were retrospective studies, with a significant portion (51.6%) originating from North America. Endometrial cancer was the most frequently studied tumor site (57.4%). The analysis highlighted disparities in research output and impact, noting that articles from middle-income countries had lower citation metrics and were published in lower-impact journals compared to those from high-income countries. Factors associated with higher citation rates included publications in higher-impact journals, studies focusing on cervical cancer, and research originating from North America. The study underscores the need for more randomized controlled trials and suggests encouraging international collaborations to bridge the research equity gap.
